How are you doing in these very challenging times? If you are like us, you may be experiencing a range of emotions. This crisis is a massive unchosen change. The whole world is facing this unchosen change – we are all in this together.
Over the last 2 weeks or so we have watched ourselves experience a range of emotions from:
- grave concern
- acceptance of the situation
- exploring our options
Are you experiencing a range of emotions as well?
These emotions can be related to the steps of unchosen change cycle which we have used in our work with clients for many, many years. The five stages of unchosen change are similar to those of the grief cycle and is based on the work of Elisabeth Kubler- Ross.
What really helps is knowing these stages of unchosen change, the emotion that each stage creates and how you can develop strategies to help yourself through this change.
Over the coming weeks we will be working on developing some further videos on unchosen change videos and linking this model to the current disruption of COVID -19.
